Mure Memorial church had a prayer group which meets each Thursday evening at 6:45pm in the Vestry. We invite everyone in the congregation to join with us to come together in prayer.
Prayer Group update September 2008
Over the summer months, we have continued in our prayers for the members of our church and community. We pray for those who are sick or have been bereaved, by name if we have received a referral, as well as those who are having other difficulties: relationship problems, job worries or financial difficulties. We give thanks to God for family and friends, for prayers answered, for holidays and celebrations; recently one of the group has become a Granny for the second time.
We ask that the concerns of the congregation, both recognised and unrecognised, be met, even if the answers are not those which we expect.
We pray for the church organisations and leaders and for Chill and Hope 2008.
During this time of vacancy we pray for the nominating committee and especially for the candidates, that they and we may accept God's guidance towards the person He has already chosen to be our new minister.
